Fun Perfume Making classes in Auckland
How can I start making my own perfume?
While you can start making your own perfume at home using a kit or online tutorial, we'd recommend learning from an expert in an in-person workshop. That way, you'll have an experienced teacher at your side to guide you in real time. Ask as many questions as you want, get help when you need it and soak up all of your teacher's wisdom. From understanding top, middle and base notes to mastering the art of blending, our perfume making workshops in Auckland will teach you the fundamentals of fragrance creation. Expect to explore the science and history of perfumery, learn about different scent families and discover the secret to crafting long-lasting fragrances. When you arrive at one of our perfume making classes, you'll meet some friendly new faces, get acquainted with your equipment and then follow one of our skilled perfumers as they guide you through each step – no experience necessary. By the end of the class, you'll feel confident creating your own custom scents and have a newfound appreciation for the world of scent making. Who knows, you might never buy another bottle!

4 reasons to make your own perfume in Auckland
Fragrance making classes are the perfect introduction to the age-old craft of perfumery, allowing you to create your own scent in just a few hours. Whether you're a self-professed fragrance lover or you're simply looking for fun things to do, there are plenty of reasons to make your own perfume in Auckland. Here are three of our faves!
1. Express yourself through scent
When you make your own perfume in Auckland, you're creating something that truly represents you. Unlike mass-produced fragrances, your creation will be unique to your preferences and personality. You can blend scents that evoke specific memories or emotions, or create something that perfectly complements your natural body chemistry. No one else in the world will own your signature scent. Cool, hey?
2. Expand your creativity
Auckland is a small city by global standards, but it's still a fast-paced place to live. (Except when you're stuck in traffic.) Perfume making offers you a chance to slow down and engage your senses as you connect with friends, family or fellow students. Breathe in the soothing scent of lavender, rose and bergamot and feel your mind grow calmer by the minute. Hands-on and meditative, perfume making in Auckland is a relaxing way to engage your senses and enjoy the present moment. From blending essential oils to bottling your creation, perfume making classes will help you disconnect from your phone and reconnect with your creativity.
3. Learn new skills for life
While designer eau de parfum can cost hundreds of dollars for a small bottle, learning how to create your own perfume is a budget-friendly way to indulge in the luxury of fragrance. Once you've been to a workshop and learned the basics of perfume making, you'll have the skills you need to create multiple fragrances – and you'll only pay for the cost of ingredients. You can even experiment with different combinations and create seasonal variations of your signature scent!
4. Embrace natural alternatives
What's more, knowing exactly what goes into your perfume is empowering. Some commercial perfumes contain synthetic ingredients and chemicals that can irritate your skin and even impact your hormonal health. But when you make your own scent, you have complete control and can choose to work with natural essential oils, organic carriers and low-toxin ingredients that align with your values.

Each guest will leave with a custom bottle of fragrance, perfectly blended to suit their skin, style and preferences.
