Q: Can I make more than one candle?
Yes! Additional candles can be made for $20 per candle. You can request this on the day.
Q: Will It Get Messy?
We take care of all the messy parts for you, like the wax melting but there is still a small risk of droplets of wax or fragrance oils on your clothes as it is ultimately a creative craft workshop. We recommend bringing an apron or to wear something that you don’t mind getting a bit of wax on it - it doesn’t happen often but just in-case!
Q: How do I book for a private corporate workshop?
For off-site corporate events (up to 40 people) you can contact us to create a custom workshop experience for you. We can host workshops anytime between 10 AM – 9 PM and have successfully hosted memorable workshops for Harbour Grounds, My Food Bag, Douglas Pharmaceuticals, Russell McVeagh and Cotton On Group. Let us make your next work social one to remember!

- Curate your bespoke scent using premium fragrance oil blends (and your imagination)
- Create a soy wax container candle in a 120g glass jar

- Duration: The candle-making process takes up to one hour. Afterward, your candle needs another 1/2 hour to set before pickup.

Masala Bazaar is all about making crafting, science and creativity accessible and easy - just like artisansI had a vision to create a community that supports slow artisanal craft and creates rather than consumes is how Masala Bazaar came to be. A bazaar is somewhere to shop handmade, or make something of your own. One where each item is a labour of love (pyaar) from the hands of the artisans to your home.In our bazaar, you can find us pouring our own candles, curating fabrics, art and ceramics from artisans in India and Pakistan as well as handcrafted products from South Asian owned brands in Aotearoa.And just like a bazaar, we have a Karigar Lane (artisan street), a space curated with textiles, paints, art and scent to allow anyone to be an artisan.
