3 hours Class size 1 to 15 guests

  $120 - $169 ($169 per guest when you book for 1+ guests, $120/guest for 10+ guests)

Join Tufting Life Auckland and learn the art of tufting, perfect for beginners!
You'll start by bringing your idea and photo of what you would like to make. Then, guided by our expert, we'll help you choose the right size, project the image, and draw a draft before diving into the tufting process. The workshop will include a demonstration of tools and their use, along with practice rounds to refine your skills.
After the demo process, you will start tufting away! We can help at any step if people feel difficulty to ensure rugs finish nicely and perfectly.
Once your rug is complete, we'll handle the finishing touches - repairing, gluing, cutting, trimming, and sealing the edges to give it a polished look. At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with not just a handmade rug but also the satisfaction of mastering a new skill.

  • 5/5 from Rachael Day, attended May 2026: I booked this tufting class while I was up in Auckland and honestly had the best time. I’d never used a tufting gun before, but the instructions were super clear and the whole vibe was relaxed and fun. The studio had every colour of yarn imaginable, so it was easy to get creative. I ended up making a dragon rug and I’m genuinely so proud of how it turned out. Such a cool experience — would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try something hands‑on and a bit different.

  • 5/5 from Moya Fernandez, attended Aug 2025: It was really fun and easy. You don’t need to be good at art to make cool designs. The owner is lovely. Let us reschedule 3 hours later due to us being late. Super accommodating, always asking if we needed help. The end results were better than I hoped for. I want to go back and do more intricate designs.
