Beginners Kintsugi Workshop

Re-use, re-purpose, and beautify with gold!

2 hours Location Lower Hutt and other locations Class size 1 to 10 guests   $175

Learn the magical art of Kintsugi with artist Ema Frost in this new workshop in Wellington!
It's an ancient Japanese art form where you fix broken pottery with gold, making its imperfections its beauty. Nothing is ever really broken but new life and meaning are brought back, making your piece a work of art and truly something special.
This traditional Japanese art uses a precious metal – liquid gold, liquid silver or lacquer dusted with powdered gold – to bring together the pieces of a broken pottery item and at the same time enhance the breaks.
By the end of the class, you will take away your wonderful finished creation, plus your new skills, which will enable you to further your Kintsugi journey in your own time.
