Hi, I'm Samar, the founder of AO Terrarium, and I'm a little obsessed with tiny ecosystems.What started as a curiosity quickly turned into a passion for creating miniature worlds that bring a little more nature indoors. I loved that a terrarium could be both beautiful and surprisingly easy to care for. It challenged the idea that you need a "green thumb" to enjoy plants.That passion eventually grew into AO Terrarium, where I design premium terrariums and host relaxed workshops that help people discover just how enjoyable terrarium building can be.Teaching has become one of my favourite parts of the business. There's something really special about watching someone arrive saying, "I'm terrible with plants, " then leave an hour later proudly carrying home a thriving terrarium they built themselves. Seeing that confidence grow is incredibly rewarding.My workshops are designed to feel more like catching up with friends over coffee than sitting in a classroom. We chat, get our hands dirty, enjoy a few treats, and I'll guide you through each step so you can create something you'll be proud to take home. No experience is needed.One thing many people don't realise is that closed terrariums create their own little ecosystem. The water inside continually cycles through evaporation and condensation, which means they need very little maintenance once established. It's one of the reasons I fell in love with them in the first place.Every terrarium I create has been thoughtfully designed to be beginner-friendly while still looking beautiful enough to become part of your home. I love blending natural textures with a clean, modern aesthetic, making terrariums feel approachable without compromising on quality.Since starting AO Terrarium, I've had the privilege of introducing hundreds of people to the joy of building their own tiny ecosystems through workshops and handcrafted terrariums.
